Audio Compressor & Limiter: (Detailed description & download)



The program takes audio data from a selected input sound device/mixer applies compression as well as brick wall limiting and sends the processed data to the chosen output sound device/mixer. The digital signal processing has been implemented in 64Bit double precision and samples the audio material with 16Bit resolution and 44.1kHz sampling frequency.

The program provides different parametric filters to equalize the frequency response of a listening room.

The JAVA application implements a linear decoding matrix to convert 2 channel into 3 channel stereo.

 

Lunar Simulator: (Detailed description & download)

The program "LM Simulator" simulates the Lunar Module of the NASA Apollo Moon landing project. It is an add-on to Ron Burkey's "yaAGC" which is a complete emulation of the original Apollo Guidance Computer.
The whole simulation (yaAGC + LM Simulator) uses the original MIT AGC code which means that you can simulate real world flight states.

This is an astronomy program which provides in essence the following functions:

  • Star Maps with equatorial and horizontal Merkator projections
  • Edit provided Star databases (SAO, YBS, NGC, Messier, Pulsars)
  • Set your location (longitude/lattitude)
  • Time synchronization and animation
  • Calculate your current local star time
  • Track the objects within the database to get right ascension/declination as well as azimut/altitude
  • Calculate the ephemeris data of the planets, sun and moon
  • Top and side view of the solar system
  • Watch a top and side view of the Jupiter moons
  • Select comets and asteroids you want to track
  • Find objects
  • Retrieve detailed object information



Dynamic Simulator:

This is a program to simulate linear and non-linear time continual and time discret systems.
You can either create simulation models by using a scripting language or by graphical modelling with building blocks.

Cipher:

This is just a very small and fast encryption program which uses an XOR operation between a pseudo random number - as long as the file you want to encrypt - and the data itself. The period of that generator is 2^19937-1, whereas the initialization of the random number is realized by the pass phrase you're using to cipher the data.



Audio Valve Simulator:
(Detailed description & download)
The application plays WAV audio files of the format 44.1kHz/16Bit through a non linear x3/2 characteristic to approximate the sound of a single valve amplifier creating harmonic distortions. The simulation is limited to k2 harmonic distortions.
